JESSE MORENG

FOUNDER | CEO | INSTRUCTOR

Jesse Moreng, founder of Breathwerx is passionate about helping people utilize natural and powerful modalities to achieve health and happiness. His passion for health and healing stemmed from witnessing the mental and physical suffering which members of his family, friends and community members were going through. One of his greatest joys is witnessing others step into their own power realizing that they hold immense control to influence their own inner strength, health and happiness.

Breathwerx is building a conscious community of practitioners and teachers whom are learning and spreading the powerful natural methods that we all have at our fingertips which are empowering individuals to become the masters of their own health. The work of Breathwerx and Jesse Moreng is dedicated to his wonderful and gentle late brother and others who are suffering from mental and physical conditions of which our modern “health care” system is failing.

James D Moreng (Jimmy) was an amazing spirit full of love and kindness. He had struggled with both mental and physical illness and moved on from this life from a pulmonary embolism in February of 2018.

“I feel one of my duties is to honor my brother and his life through living gently as he did, to spread joy, and to feel the things that his medications didn’t allow him to feel. To feel all the emotion, the pain, and the joy is to authentically connect to life” - Jesse Moreng

Jesse's first exposure to breathwork came as a young martial artist. As a competitive high school and collegiate athlete, then amateur boxer and professional mixed martial artist, Jesse was exposed to glimpses of the power of the breath and used breathing to maximize focus, force and endure pain. Although Jesse explored the breath, it was only utilized in conjunction with his martial arts and never trained by itself as its own practice.

Remember to breathe. It is after all, the secret of life.
— Gregory Maguire

In 2001 Jesse was first exposed to yoga and found it as a tool to get out of his mind and connect with the body and breath. Jesse's practice was much focused on the physical asana and it wasn't until over a decade later that he discovered and felt the power of the ancient and less taught connected breathing that Jesse was able to get his first true grasp of the power of breath. From that moment on, Jesse's focus turned to breathing as an art in itself. Jesse began to dive deeper into various breath modalities.

The Wim Hof Method stood out to Jesse as a method that would speak to the masses and learning and adapting to dealing with cold water was a life changer for both his health and breath practice. Because of the enormous impact Wim Hof and his method had on Jesse, he decided to pursue his certification in the Wim hof Method. As a 2017 graduate of the inner fire and trainee under Wim Hof, Jesse became A certified Wim hof Method instructor which utilizes powerful breathing techniques, gradual cold exposure and mindset training to gain a new influence and control over our human systems that enable an overall strengthening and resiliency. Jesse has studied a variety of other breath practices and continues his journey as both a student and a teacher.

Besides being a “Certified Wim Hof Method instructor”, Jesse is also a “Certified Health Coach (Institute of Integrative nutrition 2011), and a “Certified Advanced Buteyko Method” instructor, mindset coach, entrepreneur and lifelong student.

Be love be light - Jesse Moreng

YERASIMOS STILIANESSIS

INSTRUCTOR

Yerasimos is a Transformational Bodyworker and Coach who supports his clients in releasing trauma, stress, and toxicity from their bodies, nervous systems, and lives.

He has been invested in personal development, transformation, and seeking optimal health for over 15 years. Yerasimos began his dive into the human psyche training as an actor, where he was first introduced to the work of Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone which piqued his interest in exploring the psychological realm of the human experience. This then led Yerasimos to study at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as he became curious about the relationship between food, the body, and one’s mental and emotional well-being.

Following this program, Yerasimos felt that there was a further calling that psychotherapeutic techniques and nutrition alone could not answer.  After moving from New York City to Los Angeles and going on a deep personal journey, he was introduced to an ex-Navy Seal and healing arts practitioner who took him under his wing and trained him in a Chinese Meridian based form of bodywork. In addition to graduating from IPSB at Life Energy Institute, Yerasimos has continued to nurture his curiosity with various avenues of study, integrating multiple modalities and philosophies into his work with clients.

He currently is in the process of co-creating an integrated system of personal transformation and healing with his fiancée Sophie Fletcher, who is a PhD candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute in depth psychology with an emphasis in somatic studies.

Yerasimos is excited to be collaborating with Jesse Moreng and the Breathwerx team in their mission to bring more awareness to powerful healing techniques that can profoundly impact a person’s life.
